| Description: | AHS was established over 100 years ago and is now one of six high schools in Arlington ISD. Arlington is a city of more than 350,000 with a school district whose student population numbers more than 62,000. In addition to the 6 high schools the district has 13 junior high schools, and 52 elementaries. The IB Programme joins an outstanding AP program at AHS. Next year we will be adding the AVID program. AHS also has a strong fine arts program, ROTC program and multiple vocational programs. The student population is diverse and yet inclusive. AHS is the home of Colt "Spirit, Pride and Tradition". |
